The Learning Resource Centre
|
The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) is open during the Academic term seven days a week for a total of 80 hours each week. It is staffed by two full-time professional librarians and four part-time LRC assistants. Students may use the LRC for individual research, visit with a class, or do private study in the evening during prep. We offer a wide range of magazines (both academic and leisure), daily newspapers, non-fiction resources, novels, HE and career resources and a collection of DVDs. We also have a number of fully networked computers and network points available for students to plug in their laptops. We count on both students and staff to suggest titles for our ever growing collections. Books may be also be obtained from the Library collections at Loughborough University if we do not own a particular item. Occasionally we put the ‘no eating or drinking’ rule aside and host charity events in the LRC. These are always well attended by everyone in College. |
