The Welbeck Day

At first you may find that your day is more regimented than you are used to, however you will soon see that you get sufficient free time to socialise and to perform personal chores.

On weekdays your day will start with assembly followed by lessons and physical training from 8:30am until lunchtime at 1pm. From 2pm you may be involved in more lessons, personal development training or the CCF. Sport takes place on Wednesday afternoons. After dinner at 6pm you will have time for prep between 7 – 9pm. After that you have free time until lights out.

Saturday morning is a normal school timetable, on Saturday afternoons you may take part or watch college fixtures. After this you are free to visit Loughborough. On Saturday evenings over 18’s may have special leave out to the local village or Loughborough.

Sundays are free time although you may choose to attend church in the morning. A range of in-house social activities regularly take place during the weekend. Each boarding house has different facilities including table tennis, pool, Sky TV, computer games and common room. The indoor sports facilities are available and the student club, the Quorum, will be open on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Sometimes other activities like a theatre trip, shopping trip, Alton Towers or sporting tournaments take place.
