The Para 10 (September 2009)

On Sunday the 13th of September a team of 9 welbexians travelled to Catterick Training area to take part in the gruelling 2009 endurance event, PARA 10. The event was organised to raise money for “Help for Heroes” charity and our own sponsorship money went towards the East Midlands Air Ambulance.
The event involved carrying a 35lbs bergan over 10 miles of tough terrain in boots and combats. It follows the same route and conditions as the Army’s Pegasus Company 10 miler, minus the rifle.
All welbeck entrants completed the course with respectable times. With notable performances from James Flanagan and Kevin McCool, both of who completed the race under the 1:50 pass for P. Coy.
