Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) report
The ISI now undertake a 3 yearly inspection of the College the latest of which took place in late January 2009. The report, now published, is divided into three sections, each with a number of sub sections, the main headings are:
- The quality of Education
- The quality of Care and Relationships
- The effectiveness of Governance and Management
All report sub-sections were graded as either Good and in a several cases Very Good or Excellent. We were so pleased with the report that I was able to persuade the Governing Board to grant an extra day’s leave for all students and staff of the college at the end of the Easter break as a reward for their efforts.
The inspection outcomes are really as a direct result of the combined efforts of both our students and of course the college staff and we are justifiability proud of their efforts in obtaining such a good report. Since the publication of the report I have received a letter from the Society of Head’s of Independent Schools (SHMIS) congratulating us on the report contents and additionally our Chairman of Governors, Lt Gen Andrew Graham CBE, Director of the Defence Academy, has sent a similar congratulatory letters to the college staff as well as to our students and their parents.
