The Committee and our Charter

The OWA has four objectives:

• To promote a network of life-long friends throughout the Armed Forces and civilian life.
• To maintain OWs' interest in the College.
• To promote the activities of Welbeck Defence Sixth Form College.
• To assist with fundraising.

The Committee comprises a number of serving and retired Old Welbexians who serve between 2 and 5 years as members. It aims to meet twice per year and to hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM). As of 2011 the Committee comprises of the following:

• Vice President: Colonel (Retd) David Hudson 55 Entry.
• Chairman: Lt Col Sean Lang (REME) 65 Entry
• Secretary: Captain Will Naylor (REME) 86 Entry.
• Assistant Secretary: Major Robin McDowall (RLC) 41 Entry.
• Membership Secretary: Major Paul Hughes (REME) 73 Entry.

• Events: Lieutenant Claire O'Connell (REME) 03 Entry
• PR: Major Brian Jeffery (R SIGNALS) 85 Entry
• Projects: Major Rich Lloyd (REME) Ex College Warrant Officer
