Tennis

Tennis is a Summer Term Sport. There are six courts available for use and it is popular with students of a wide mix of abilities. Students are coached in basic skills and rules of the game, by Julie Westgate, a local Tennis coach, with a keen family interest at the top level in the Sport. Students are given plenty of opportunity to practise and develop their skills even though the games sessions are often interrupted with exams and LVI Summer Camp.
There is an inter-house competition every year, and some years students have organised their own Tennis Championships in Singles (Male and Female) and Doubles (Male, Female and Mixed). The latter competition is open for all students at Welbeck.
