The Independent Schools’ Inspectorate (ISI) inspected the College on Monday 28th October, 2019 and the Report can be found at the link below.
Following this inspection, ISI have reported that the College remains compliant with the Independent Schools Standards Regulations and the National Minimum Standards for Boarding Schools and that all standards have been met. These standards represent minimum requirements and judgements can only be given as ‘met’ or as ‘not met’, so the report contains no qualitative judgements. This inspection included a rigorous examination of the College’s policies and their implementation with a particular focus on safeguarding, pastoral care and welfare.
The Principal, Peter Middleton, commented that ‘despite these findings by ISI which evidence that the College meets the required standards, we recognise that there is always work which we can do to further improve and enhance pastoral provision to students, since it lies at the heart of any boarding community. We tell the students to strive to be the best versions of themselves, and as a College we must continue to do the same.’
