Welbeck College provides a comprehensive medical service for its students with outstanding facilities. The College Medical Centre (CMC) is staffed by Qualified Nurse Prescribers and it has in-patient facilities comprising of a male and a female ward and two single bed isolation wards alongside a number of consulting rooms.
The CMC is staffed from 7:30am to 7:00pm Monday to Saturday during term time. Outside of these hours an on call system is in place. Nurse-led Surgeries are held three times a day.
A Student who presents at the CMC with an illness or injury which falls outside of the Registered Nurse's sphere of clinical competence is to be referred to local health care services such as the GP, Physiotherapist or College Counsellor.
Welbeck is assessed and monitored under Health & Safety Legislation. Boarding and pastoral care operates under National Minimum Boarding Standards and we are inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).
